Bill Montgomery is the 2014 District Attorney of Maricopa County. He was first elected to the seat of Maricopa County District Attorney through a special election in 2010 and was reelected in 2012. Bill's mission as District Attorney is to persecute crimes and hold criminals accountable through tough sentencing laws. He is also dedicated to fighting fraud and identity theft charges.
Bill received his law degree from Arizona State University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was the recipient of the Order of the Coif - an honorary scholastic society that encourages excellence in legal education. Bill is also a West Point Graduate - the prestigious United States Military Academy in New York, is a decorated Golf War Veteran, and a former Deputy Attorney. Bill served as the Bureau Chief of the Auto Theft Bureau during which time auto theft dropped a recorded 35%.
