Ms. Jamie Peterson is a member of the Texas bar (#24044160) and has represented numerous clients in a variety of legal settings.
Peterson began her law career at a general practice firm, The O’Meara Law Firm, where she worked for 2 ½ years. During her time at The O’Meara Law Firm, Peterson practiced several areas of law, including business formation and transactions, wills and probate, real estate, and litigation. Peterson has had the opportunity to argue dozens of times in court, assist in drafting multiple persuasive briefs to various courts, including the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and to obtain several judgments for clients, including a summary judgment for $1 million.
Peterson teaches business law at the University of Texas and is treasurer of the Austin chapter of the J. Rueben Clark Law Society.
Peterson received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Texas, where she graduated with honors and served as Chief Articles and Notes Editor for the Texas Review of Entertainment and Sports Law.
She received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Weber State University, where she graduated summa cum laude. While attending WSU, Peterson played varsity women’s basketball and received multiple awards for her work as Assistant Sports Editor for The Signpost, the University’s newspaper. Before attending WSU, Peterson attended Brigham Young University—Idaho, where she played varsity basketball and softball and received an Associate’s degree in Pre-Medicine.
